TAMPA — An 18-year-old Tampa woman is out on bail after being charged with driving under the influence three times in less than three weeks.
A judge told Kimberly McCarthy Monday that he'd hold a hearing next week to determine if she should go to jail pending the outcome of the cases.
McCarthy was arrested on Feb. 24 on charges of DUI, and possession of the narcotic Xanax, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. She was arrested again on March 11, charged with DUI and possession of marijuana. Both times she went free on bail.
She was arrested again March 12 and charged with DUI, and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
She said she was high on marijuana each time she was stopped but wasn't drunk.

Drunk or high, in the end the risk of danger while driving a car is there. It's an irresponsible act, even more so when she's at the age when a person should take extra care when it comes to driving responsibly.
