35 Shocking Statistics That Prove That Things Have Gotten Worse In America
Most Americans know that things used to be much better in the United States, but they don’t have the facts and the figures to back that belief up. Well, after reading the shocking statistics in this article nobody should be left with any doubt that things have gotten worse in America. There are less jobs, incomes are down, home values have plummeted, poverty is up, consumer debt is way up, dependence of the government has skyrocketed and government debt is totally out of control. Sadly, it hasn’t really mattered which political party has had control over the White House. Things have gotten worse under Obama, they got worse under Bush, and they got worse under Clinton. We are in the midst of a horrific long-term economic decline and the American people desperately need to wake up.
The following are 35 shocking statistics that prove that things have gotten worse in America….
#1 Median household income in the United States is down 7.8 percent since December 2007 after adjusting for inflation.
#2 There are 5.6 million less jobs than there were when the last recession began back in late 2007.
#3 The U.S. government says that the number of Americans “not in the labor force” rose by 17.9 million between 2000 and 2011. During the entire decade of the 1980s, the number of Americans “not in the labor force” rose by only 1.7 million.
#4 In 2007, the unemployment rate for the 20 to 29 age bracket was about 6.5 percent. Today, the unemployment rate for that same age group is about 13 percent.
#5 In 2007, 73.2 percent of all young adults between the ages of 18 and 24 that were not enrolled in school had jobs. Today, that number has declined to 65 percent.
#6 Back in the year 2000, more than 50 percent of all Americans teens had a job. This past summer, only 29.6% of all American teens had a job.
#7 When Barack Obama entered the White House, the number of “long-term unemployed workers” in the United States was approximately 2.6 million. Today, that number is sitting at 5.6 million.
#8 The average duration of unemployment in the United States is nearly three times as long as it was back in the year 2000.
#9 Back in 1950, more than 80 percent of all men in the United States had jobs. Today, less than 65 percent of all men in the United States have jobs.
#10 According to the Obama administration, about 20 percent of all jobs in the United States were manufacturing jobs back in the year 2000. Today, about 5 percent of all jobs in the United States are manufacturing jobs.
#11 Sadly, more than 56,000 manufacturing facilities in the United States have been shut down since 2001.
#12 Back in 1980, less than 30% of all jobs in the United States were low income jobs. Today, more than 40% of all jobs in the United States are low income jobs.
#13 The U.S. trade deficit with China during 2011 was 28 times larger than it was back in 1990.
#14 About twice as many new homes were sold in the United States in 1965 as are being sold today.
#15 Home prices in the 4th quarter of 2011 were four percent lower than they were during the 4th quarter of 2010. Overall, U.S. home prices are 34 percent lower than they were back at the peak of the housing bubble.
#16 The total value of household real estate in America has declined from $22.7 trillion in 2006 to $16.2 trillion today.
#17 At the end of 2011, 22.8 percent of all homes in the United States with a mortgage were in negative equity. That would have been unthinkable a decade or two ago.
#18 Total home mortgage debt in the United States is now about 5 times larger than it was just 20 years ago.
#19 Total consumer debt in the United States has increased by a whopping 1700% since 1971.

Video: Obama speaks at Harvard protest in 1990 defending Derrick bell
As promised small portions of the Obama video from his Harvard days were released by Steve Bannon.
Here is the link:

Today’s Breitbart.com has announced a video to be released, showing Harvard law student Barack Obama defending Professor Derrick Bell Jr. in a protest. According to Breitbart.com, the original video has been heavily edited and more will be shown on Hannity tonight.
In the meantime, I thought it might be interesting to have a few fun facts about the late Professor in advance of the show.
This obituary, written upon his death, had some interesting points to make:
Bell was credited with developing “critical race theory,” which suggested that the U.S. legal system was inherently biased against African Americans and other minorities because it was built on an ingrained white point of view. He argued in his many books and lectures that the life experiences of black people and other minorities should be considered in hiring decisions and in applying the law.
Bell maintained that the standards for promotion and tenure at law schools – and Harvard, in particular – were inherently discriminatory and excluded a broad group of minorities. By hiring only graduates of top-tier law schools who had clerked at the Supreme Court, he argued, academia was populated by a uniform group of standard-issue professors, most of them white men.
And why are we not surprised that he was a Farrakhan supporter?
Some scholars, both black and white, challenged Bell’s ideas, as well as his strong support of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan. Nonetheless, Bell remained one of the country’s most outspoken public intellectuals until his death.
Author James Traub voiced this opinion in his 1993 piece on the professor:
That’s Derek Bell’s bottom line: if it comforts whites, it’s bad; if it comforts blacks–i.e., Farrakhan–it’s good. Bell, along with Farrakhan and so many others, offers victimization as a consolation.
Yes, I imagine there will be so much more to learn about the good professor.

Ocala City Council seat race takes odd turn

OCALA -- In expressing his hope of saving taxpayers the cost of conducting a runoff election for the Ocala City Council District 3 seat, candidate Glen Fiorello unwittingly opened up Pandora's box and sent city attorneys scurrying to the law books.
Fiorello, who is running against Jay A. Musleh for the seat, told the City Council Tuesday night that he would withdraw from the race, conceding the position to Musleh, in order to save the $55,000 cost of the runoff election on April 24.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“I would like to have my name taken off the ballot now so Mr. Musleh can fill the seat I am vying for,” Fiorello told the council.
But Assistant City Attorney W. James Gooding III stopped Fiorello in his tracks.
“You may not want to do this,” Gooding said. “It may not save the city any money.”
Musleh beat Fiorello and Robert “Bobby” Tillander in the Feb. 28 special election to fill the unexpired term of John Priester. Priester was removed from office by the City Council in December because he did not live in the district he represented. His term ends in 2013. Musleh got 48.87 percent of the 3,133 votes cast in February's special election. Fiorello came in second with 36.74 percent and Tillander came in third with 14.40 percent of the vote. Because Musleh did not receive the required 50 percent plus one majority vote required by the city charter to win the office, a runoff election among the two top candidates was called. Tillander, because he finished third, was eliminated.
“If Glen withdraws, under our charter there would still be a runoff between Musleh and Tillander,” City Attorney Patrick Gilligan said. “I have to find out what Mr. Tillander wants to do regardless of what Mr. Fiorello wants to do.”
Fiorello has not officially withdrawn yet.
If Fiorello does not withdraw, the runoff between Musleh and Fiorello will be held as planned, Gilligan said.
If Fiorello does withdraw and Tillander does not, then there would be a runoff between Musleh and Tillander.
But if both Fiorello and Tillander withdraw, Gilligan is not certain what the outcome would be and was researching that Wednesday.
“We're in a flux,” Gilligan said.
If Musleh is the last man standing, there is a question about whether the whole election has to be done over again because the charter said no one will become a council member unless they have received the majority vote of 50 percent plus one. So, under the charter, it is possible that Musleh may not be eligible for office. Or it may be that state law would kick in and that there would be a presumption of Musleh having a majority because it would be assumed he would vote for himself. That is what happened in the case of Mary Sue Rich and John McLeod. Neither had opponents, so it was presumed that they would vote for themselves and, therefore, have the majority, Gilligan said. But Gilligan and Marion County Supervisor of Elections Dee Brown were continuing to research all that on Wednesday morning.
“I am just trying to do a nice thing. Who in the world would have thought this?” Fiorello said Wednesday. “Lord have mercy.”
Fiorello is waiting to hear what the attorneys say before making a decision to withdraw or not.
If it turns out that there would be a runoff between Musleh and Tillander if he left the race, Fiorello said he would keep his name on the ballot.
Tillander said Wednesday morning he was talking to his advisors about what he should do.
“When it's official, I will give you an official answer one way or another,” Tillander said about Fiorello's withdrawal. “I will talk to my wife and my family and we will pray about it and see which way God leads me.”

Fantastic new Conservative networking forum!
I found this Conservative Networking forum from Linkedin.com. The premise is simple… Make a forum for conservatives to gather and exchange ideas, leads, referrals and build business relationships.
From the forum: Even though many people believe that conservatism is a political philosophy, we believe that it also translates into business practices. Freedom, independence and liberty should not just reside in the world of political speech. Oh, and let’s not forget one of the cornerstones of our republic, CAPITALISM!
We have made an effort to drill down to the specific items that would help you sell your product or service, just network, or find a specific product or service.

Comedian who called Palin the C-word Louis C.K. snags hosting duties at political gig
Yes it's true the same guy that has called Sarah Palin a C-word over and over is has been selected as the featured speaker for the 68th Annual Radio & Television Congressional Correspondents' Dinner, to be held in June.
It will be attended most probably by none other than you Guessed it, Bocrack Obama. The hypocrasy of the liberal debris is really wearing thin on me. Limbaugh gets chastised for calling a law student a slut (is she??), loses 12 advertisers so far and liberals are asking for his head. Are you kidding me??
“We’re very excited about having Louis C.K. at the dinner,” said Jay McMichael of CNN, who chairs the RTCA’s executive committee. “This is an evening you’ll want to experience. We’re shaking things up, showcasing the unexpected, and delivering lots of laughs.”
Louis C.K. has been quoted as saying, " (palin).. has a family of Chinese people living in her c-hole"
On the Opie and Anthony show, Louis said this "“When she was on stage at the fucking convention, that [Trig] just came out of her f-in disgusting c-word. Her f-in retard-making c-word. I hate her more than anybody"
Seriously and this guy is hosting the 68th Annual Radio & Tv Correspondants dinner?
Where's the liberal media jumping on this? Is Obama going to call Palin and ask her if she's doing all right. No Obama is going to attend and get a chuckle out of this idiot. I'l,l be watching.
Wake up America.

When doing Opposition research make sure your facts are correct!!
When performing opposition research on an opponent be absolutely 100% sure your research is accurate and verifiable. You don't want to end up like Tom Smithsburg who is running for Chicago committeeman in the 42nd ward. These blunders are not only embarrassing, but can cost you the election. Ask yourself this: When this guy votes for a bill in office, will he verify the facts of the bill?? or just vote assuming the facts are correct?

Judge Fail: Bush-Appointed Federal Judge Sends Racist, Anti-Obama Email Comparing Interracial Sex To Bestiality
By Ian Millhiser on Mar 1, 2012 at 9:00 am
Chief Judge Richard Cebull, a George W. Bush appointee to the federal district court in Montana, admitted yesterday to sending a racist email forward comparing President Obama’s conception to sex with a dog:
“A little boy said to his mother; ‘Mommy, how come I’m black and you’re white?’” the email joke reads. “His mother replied, ‘Don’t even go there Barack! From what I can remember about that party, you’re lucky you don’t bark!’” [...]
Cebull said his brother initially sent him the email, which he forwarded to six of his “old buddies” and acquaintances.
He admitted that he read the email and intended to send it to his friends.
“The only reason I can explain it to you is I am not a fan of our president, but this goes beyond not being a fan,” Cebull said. “I didn’t send it as racist, although that’s what it is. I sent it out because it’s anti-Obama.“
Cebull’s email is inexcusable, and his explanation for sending it only makes things worse. At best, Cebull has admitted that he despises President Obama so much that he lacks the ability to exercise basic judgment when confronted with an opportunity to insult the president. This hardly a suitable trait in a man whose sole job duty is to exercise judgment.
Worse, Cebull’s poor judgment does not simply compromise his own reputation, it also undermines the very integrity of our legal system. Federal judges hear many, many race discrimination cases, and a good judge will deem many of these cases lacking in merit and rule that no discrimination took place. Every time Cebull does so — or has done so in the past — is now tainted by the question of whether his decisions were rooted in the law or in his own racial animus.
Nor does Cebull’s claim to not hate black people, only our black president, make the situation any better. Federal judges are also called upon to evaluate the legality of a president’s actions at times — often in highly charged and controversial cases. Every time Cebull is asked to judge the Obama Administration is now also tainted.
It’s not at all clear how Cebull can remain on the bench in light of this taint. The legitimacy of the law depends upon litigants being able to trust the unbiased motives of the men and women entrusted with judging. Cebull’s actions strike directly at the heart of that trust.
Ok we may have our differences with Obama, but taking it to this extreme is reprehensible!! I would seriously petition for this judge to be removed. I would hate to find out cases that he has decided with thoughts like this in his mind.
