Video: Innocents Betrayed The True Story of Gun Control

Are We Satisfied? No! RNC ad uses Obama’s own words against him (Video)

Obama thinks Americans are stupid. He has a point because he got 53% of the vote in 2008 and the fact he is even in contention to win this year means there are plenty of dumb people out there. Four years after the so called “historic” election of a Marxist (Obama), people speak out if they are better off now then before Obama. Listen to Obama and the people in their own words. Read our 6 keys to a killer online press release, and see an exact example to use for your campaign.

by Brett Payne, Political Insight

You want your message to get out. The press wants to hear your message. But they will always pay attention to the campaign who makes it easy for them to filter through the info and repurpose it for their TV station, newspaper, blog or radio air time. Like most things in life, there is a formula for how to provide press releases via the web that is very different from what campaigns may be used to. So lets look at that formula.

As I've worked with campaigns I've learned very quickly that they all know that they should do press releases, but very few actually know how. And if you don't know how, then all the time and effort to put one together is often lost because the release is never read. The secret is to manage your press releases online, which provides a format and container that simply needs to be updated and syndicated out when needed.

1.  Easy to keep up to date - Online press kits make updating a snap. You follow the structure, fill in every 'container' and you are ready to go. Your standard template includes your contact information, downloadable press kit, campaign summary, etc. In addition, you leave areas for the main content of the release, the highlighted points, associated images and other media. By providing all of these elements you are able to control the message (not just words, but media also) by providing all of the assets in one place.

2. Make them interactive
- Images and video are critical. Rather than depending on an overworked news agency to track down good media, just provide it for them. They'll appreciate you and put your press release at the top of the pile. And of course, make sure all your media is easy downloadable for them.

3. Contact Info just a click away
- Your template should include the contact information for the campaign, the press contact and the campaign manager. Give them full access to reach you for comment or for additional details.

4. Links instead of attach
- An online press kit should be indexed with search engines, but who has time to wait for that. You'll be getting this info to media outlets electronically, but don't make the mistake of attaching your press release via a pdf or any other method. Many email clients filter out emails with attachments that are from unknown sources, so don't risk it. Instead, always communicate with links to your assets that can easily be downloaded at will.

5. Keep organized
- This method is about simplifying your life. It's about less decisions and focus on content. Having your releases online helps you to force the message into a container that demands content. And if you don't have the content, you probably don't have a press release.

6. Attach a PDF of a general press kit - Each online release should also contain a downloadable PDF of the standard campaign press kit for use in other areas. Just upload the pdf to your site and provide a nice link on each press release.

The fight between House Republicans, the Department of Justice, and the White House over Operation Fast and Furious will escalate this morning, according to CBS News.  The House Oversight Committee will take the first steps to charging Attorney General Eric Holder with contempt of Congress over continued stonewalling of demands for documentation and testimony on the disastrous ATF operation that led to the death of at least one Border Patrol agent and hundreds of people in Mexico:

Must read article: Rebecca E. Zietlow, Popular Originalism? The Tea Party Movement and Constitutional Theory

64 Fla. L. Rev. 483

Abstract:

The U.S. Constitution is currently the subject of a heated political debate. Tea Party activists have invoked the Constitution as the foundation of their conservative political philosophy. These activists are engaged in “popular originalism,” using popular constitutionalism—constitutional interpretation outside of the courts—to invoke originalism as interpretive method. The Tea Party movement thus provides an excellent heuristic to explore the relationship between originalism and popular constitutionalism, two prominent trends in constitutional theory. Both originalists and popular constitutionalists study legal history to illuminate constitutional meaning, but the two schools of thought draw diverging lessons from that history. Originalists look to history to determine the fixed “original” meaning of the Constitution, which they hold to be binding on contemporary interpreters, regardless of subsequent historical or political developments. Popular constitutionalists study the way in which constitutional interpretation has been influenced by historical developments and explore the use of constitutional theory to bolster constitutional arguments.

What a moron: Media Inquiry on Fast & Furious: Holder gives them Blank Documents

How Twitter lets politicians route around the media

The rise of social media has had a number of disruptive effects on the traditional media industry, but one of the most powerful aspects of this “democratization of distribution” is how it allows the sources of news — everyone from celebrities to eye-witnesses at important events — to publish their thoughts and reach a large audience directly, without any help from the mainstream media. It may be a plaything for someone like News Corp. billionaire Rupert Murdoch, but it can be a very useful feature for politicians in particular, as Chrystia Freeland of Reuters noted in a recent post about the social-media habits of the Swedish foreign minister, the U.S. ambassador to Russia and the mayor of a town in Alberta.

New book Recommendation: InJustice: Exposing the Racial Agenda of the Obama Justice Department.

Book Description

October 3, 2011
The Department of Justice Watches Over the Law
But Who Watches the Watchmen?

The Department of Justice is America’s premier federal law enforcement agency. And according to J. Christian Adams, it’s also a base used by leftwing radicals to impose a fringe agenda on the American people.

A five-year veteran of the DOJ and a key attorney in pursuing the New Black Panther voter intimidation case, Adams recounts the shocking story of how a once-storied federal agency, the DOJ’s Civil Rights division has degenerated into a politicized fiefdom for far-left militants, where the enforcement of the law depends on the race of the victim.

In Injustice, Adams reveals:

  • The inside story of how the Obama DOJ spiked the voter intimidation lawsuit against the New Black Panther Party—and the Panthers’ little-known public appearance with Obama
  • How the Obama administration changed DOJ hiring policy to ensure radical leftists would dominate the Civil Rights Division
  • The Obama DOJ’s bizarre agenda, from insisting on kids’ rights to attend school dressed as transvestites, to litigating for teachers’ rights to take paid vacations to Mecca
  • How the DOJ has repeatedly sided with political bosses who flagrantly disenfranchise entire communities of white voters
  • Why the DOJ’s fixation on racial grievance threatens the integrity of the 2012 elections

If you thought the federal government was dedicated to race-neutral equal protection, Injustice will set you straight. This searing indictment of government malfeasance unveils the astonishing political extremism and outright lawlessness that now infects on of the government’s most powerful agencies. With everything from civil rights laws to America’s voting system at risk, Adams sound the alarm on a gathering threat to our nation’s future.

Joe "Obama Crony" Garcia running for congress in Florida's 25th Disctrict

Well another Obama Crony has popped up and decided to run for Congress.  Joe Garcia has decided to challenge David Rivera for Florida's 25 th District for Congress in 2012.  In 2009, Garcia joined the Obama administration as director of the Office of Minority Economic Impact for the Department of Energy.  The most salient objection I have with this guy is that Garcia was a member of the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO).  According to  J. Christian Adams NALEO is part of the Voter Fraud denier network

The “denier” network includes: the ACORN-affiliated Project Vote, Advancement Project, Asian American Legal Defense Fund (AALDF), Asian Pacific American Legal Center, Brennan Center for Justice, Common Cause, DEMOS, League of Women Voters, Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF), the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under the Law, NAACP Legal Defense Fund, and National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials (NALEO).

Voter integrity activists should not be discouraged by the scope and magnitude of the opposition, Adams said. Even so, they should have an understanding of the tactics that will be used, he added.

“Everything you do has to be above board,” Adams said. “They [the vote fraud deniers] are liars. Give no quarter. The war between the righteous and the deceivers is as old as time. Don’t let them set the narrative…race will be used as a weapon.”

Do we need more Obama Cronies in Congress?  Garcia released on his 2010 Election website that he had 25 ideas to create jobs, grow our economy and cut wasteful spending.  Correct me if I'm wrong Joe but I don't believe you have ever worked in the private sector since you graduated from  law School.  How in the world would you have any clue as to how to creat jobs.  This guy has never been elected to public office and has been soundly defeated several times.  The best he could ever do was get appointed to public offices.  He has been part of the problem in government for over 16 years.  Donors save your dollars.  Vote for David Rivera.

Video: Krauthammer- EPA crucifixion is Obama policy - just wait until 2nd term

The radical EPA crucifier exposes Obama's real energy policies. Obama promised he would make electricity rates "skyrocket", appointed an energy secretary that WANTED higher gas prices "like those in Europe", has REDUCED drilling permits on federal areas by 36% and has issued regulations which are shutting down coal plants that supply 60% of American electricity. Krauthammer warns that this is just the beginning if Obama gets a second term. Four more years of economic suicide?

Is a Facebook “Like” Not “Substantive” Enough to “Warrant[] Constitutional Protection”?

So holds Bland v. Roberts (E.D. Va. Apr. 24, 2012). Plaintiffs were fired from the Hampton, Virginia Sheriff’s Office, and they claim that this was because they backed the Sheriff’s opponent in an election, Jim Adams. In particular, two of the plaintiffs, Carter and McCoy, claim that they were fired for “liking” Adams’ page on Facebook.

Firing a government employee based on his speech on matters of public concern is generally unconstitutional. There are exceptions, for instance for speech by a high-level employee whose political affiliation is relevant to the job (such as the Sheriff’s top lieutenant), for speech that’s part of one’s job duties, or for speech that sufficiently disrupts the functioning of the office. But while the judge suggested that some of these exceptions might apply, he did not primarily rely on those exceptions.
