When performing opposition research on an opponent be absolutely 100% sure your research is accurate and verifiable. You don't want to end up like Tom Smithsburg who is running for Chicago committeeman in the 42nd ward. These blunders are not only embarrassing, but can cost you the election. Ask yourself this: When this guy votes for a bill in office, will he verify the facts of the bill?? or just vote assuming the facts are correct?
