But even that invasion of privacy can't compare to what Congress has in store for us.
You see, buried deep within the 800-page immigration bill facing Congress right now is a sinister plot. And it doesn't just affect immigrants - it affects everyone.
"It starts to change the relationship between the citizen and state... fundamentally, it could be the start of keeping a record of all things," said Chris Calabrese, a congressional lobbyist.
What does Mr. Calabrese mean by "a record of all things"?
Well, for starters, the government wants to know the shape of your smile.
They want to record the measurements of your facial structure.
They want to know the details of your iris.
And that's just the beginning.
Under the new immigration bill, the government is seeking the power to make a biometric database of every single adult in the United States, all controlled by the Department of Homeland Security.
