Sid Blumenthal Unloaded on Tea Party in ‘Confidential’ Three-Page Memo to Hillary Clinton

Sid Blumenthal unloaded on the Tea Party in a formerly confidential three-page memo to Hillary Clinton.
The August 2010 memo from the trusted Clinton adviser, revealed Monday night after the State Department released a new batch of Clinton emails, provided the then-secretary of state with “some language on extremism and the Republican Party.”
“The Republican Party today is a captive party. It is captive to the swamp fevers of the extreme right,” Blumenthal wrote at the outset of the memo. “It is captive to its out-of-power desperation for political power—willing to do and say anything to grab it—willing to use extremists to help climb back to power—willing to give the extremists power. No one is speaking up for responsible conservatism within the Republican Party.”

UNC’s ‘Literature of 9/11’ course sympathizes with terrorists, paints U.S. as imperialistic

ALEC DENT - UNC CHAPEL HILL
None of the assigned readings view attacks from perspective of Sept. 11 victims’ families
An English class offered at UNC Chapel Hill this fall called “Literature of 9/11” explores the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks from the perspective of radical Islamists and those who view America as an imperialist nation.
The reading assignments for the class, which includes poems, memoirs and graphic novels, present terrorists in a sympathetic light and American political leaders as greedy, war hungry and corrupt, according to a review by The College Fix.
The readings mostly focus on justifying the actions of terrorists – painting them as fighting against an American regime, or mistaken idealists, or good people just trying to do what they deem right. None of the readings assigned in the freshman seminar present the Sept. 11 attacks from the perspective of those who died or from American families who lost loved ones.

Rutgers University: There’s No Such Thing As ‘Free Speech’

Aguide to preventing “bias incidents” published by Rutgers University warns students that the idea of “free speech” is a lie, Campus Reformreports. “There is no such thing as ‘free’ speech. On the university website, the committee explains how almost any statement that fails the political correctness test on any level could merit investigation. All speech has a cost and consequences,” opens the page dedicated to the school’s “Bias Prevention & Education Committee.”

That awkward liberal moment

How Social Justice Warriors Are Creating An Entire Generation Of Fascists

By Jonah Goldberg

One lasting legacy (among others) of the Soviet Union is its deceptive distortion of language – dressing up ugliness with innocuous and nice-sounding terms, as predicted by George Orwell in his seminal and much-quoted work Nineteen Eighty-Four. For example, if someone says that they’re for “human rights”, that means that they’re for Stalinist thought controlhardcore government authoritarianism, and international warmongering.“Human rights activists” are, in actuality, a vile, twisted, and extremely dangerous plague upon humanity. So, too, are the self-proclaimed supporters of “social justice” (who are, of course, often the same people). “Social justice” blogging is most associated with Tumblr, a blogging platform started in February 2007 which is now among the most visited sites on the Internet. “Social justice” bloggers are notoriously zealous and exceptionally nasty people, which has led to the coining of the ironic term “social justice warrior”, or SJW for short.

THE PSYCHOLOGY OF POLITICAL YARD SIGNS

THE PSYCHOLOGY OF YARD SIGNS

Yard signs are the bane of most consultants and campaign staffers, but they don’t have to be if you approach them with the right attitude.
If you’re asking whether or not they win votes and benefit the overall campaign, you’re likely to see yard signs as a frustrating distraction and a waste of precious resources. After all, the scientific research into yard signs has yielded mixed results. In fact, we don’t really know whether they make a difference in overall campaign performance.
Whenever answers are elusive, it’s often because we’re asking the wrong questions. So instead of debating the macro effects of yard signs on the overall campaign, it’s far more constructive to focus on their micro effects: How yard signs can be leveraged effectively to change the behavior of individual voters and win new supporters.
So how might we use social and situational influence techniques to you keep your yard signs working?
